THE BUNABEESI

Hello, Lifelong Learner!

I’m excited to launch my very first newsletter, The Bunabeesi, and I’m even more excited to share it with you! Each month I will be sharing interactive exercises designed to boost your self-awareness alternating with my favorite stories that embark on a journey where vulnerability and transformative growth meet laughter and fun. I hope you join me in this journey - sign up below!

Change has always been easy for me. In fact, in most situations I embrace it. But a few years ago, my life significantly changed overnight in ways that felt hopeless, shameful, and devastating. I lost my job of 14 years, a job that I poured my entire life into. I stopped dating a man that helped me see life in new ways, and my best friend betrayed me in a way I never imagined possible, and all on the third anniversary of my dad’s death.

The next few days that followed were a blur. I felt my life slip away. Just five days prior, my life was joyful, stable, flirty, and full. But it was also dark, repressed, and empty. I was tired. I needed to be grounded. I needed to reunite the fire that burned my soul.

My friends and family used to marvel at how I created my dream job in professional sports, working towards a common goal of winning the Super Bowl or World Series. Even I thought to myself that I was living the dream. But the reality is that I was working extremely long hours, sometimes 21 days in a row, with no time to cultivate any kind of relationships outside of work and my identity was solely attached to my work achievements. I had lost myself.

That was three years ago today. Now I’m actually living my dream - following my calling to help leaders adopt a better way of life through cultivating their vision and tapping into their core values; drinking coffee in the warm Arizona mornings as I stare at the Catalina Mountains and write in my journal; spending quality time with friends and family and adventuring the west in my camper van with my incredibly loving partner in crime.

My clients often asked me how I made this transformation. That’s a story for a different time, but I can tell you that it took exploration, commitment, compassion, self-awareness, and the celebration of each tiny step - some forwards and some backwards.

I’m here to let you know that as scary and daunting as it may appear, it is possible. If you’re ready to start with a small step of wanting to find your dream, I’m here to be your North Star.  Together we can stir your passions and free the leader that lives within you.
